Lanta Castaway Beach Resort

Resort was perfect and there was everything we needed. We stayed two weeks and it was so good. Breakfast included to our reservation and we get to choose from the menu list. Breakfast was okay, pretty decent. We ate few times on the resorts restaurant but then decided to eat elsewhere. Food is ok, but little overpriced and you can get better and cheaper food from a restaurant just next to. But if you are tired and don't want to leave or you just want to eat by the sea and watch the sunset, it's totally worth it! The beachbar was so great! Maybe little overpriced, BUT you get the beach view !! Beach was super. It was so great to start mornings with little beach walk and swim a little. What was best, was the bungalow! We loved it!! It was super cozy and you get a housekeeping and cleaning every day! Please remember to leave a little tip to the maids! On the resort you can also go to the massage. That was so great! There's also diving and snorkeling opportunity but we skipped that. You can also rent a motorbike by the reception. You can get a little cheaper rents elsewhere on the village, but we thought that this was easy way to avoid the scams. And it was easy to get and return the bike by the resort. After stayed two weeks on Lanta and discovered whole island by motorbike, we thought that the location was actually really good. Could be the best on the island. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

This is incredibly good value for money. Double rooms in small bungalows a stone's throw from a gorgeous, uncrowded beach. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and bars nearby, and a 7-eleven, pharmacy etc, but you still feel like you're in a quiet, secret corner of the island. The in-house restaurant and bar are right on the beach and do great Thai and tex-mex (?!) food as well as cocktails. Theres also an in-house dive shop/school which looks decent. The staff are so friendly and nothing is a problem. I have no idea how the prices are so low (about €75/night in Feb 2025). If you don't mind an older, quieter crowd then this is definitely the place to book. I thought the lack of a pool might be annoying but the sea is so warm and calm and inviting that I don't think I would have swum in the pool anyway.

We had a week stay here and everything was perfect. Rooms were nice and quiet and comfortable. The resort is right on the beach where we caught beautiful sunsets even though it was in the low season. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful, you can order from the menu a range of different styles including Thai, Mexican, English and many more. What made our stay that more personal was Weung, she was our waitress every day and she always had a big smile on her face and nothing was a problem. A huge thank you to you and the rest of the staff too. 😁😁

Spatious, confortable and very clean bungalows,surrounded by a well maintained garden. Delicious breakfast and good restaurant a la carte. The main asset is the staff, always smily, super kind and ready to help. Our family had a greater time in Lanta Castaway and would definitely recommend it.

Upon arrival I was just shocked by the beauty of the beach front. This was our first Oceanside place on our trip but still so nice. The beach is extremely accessible with decent snorkelling right in front of the resort. Great restaurant, great service, clean and private bungalows. They gave us two free massage tokens upon arrival which was a nice surprise and the ocean front massage set up was great. The front desk was SO helpful for booking tours, scooters, and transport out at competitive prices. Breakfast were awesome. Good coffee :) I did my open water scuba course with the attached Relax and Dive and the connivence of that was perfect. Great shop and nice way to do a course that your partner isn’t in, makes it easy to meet up after. The staff was so friendly! Can’t be said enough.
